Brand new photography from talented up-and-coming photographers is on display at a range of unusual venues as part of LOOK/13 International Photography Festival. 22 photographers have linked into four collaborations, and will show work on a ship, a bridge, in bird cages and hanging from the roof of a building, as well as some more conventional venues. Meanwhile one of the groups challenges the people of Liverpool to swap an object they own for a photograph of that object – which one is preferable?
We are very pleased to announce the following shortlisted candidates for the second Redeye Printing Bursary with Rob Sara. The calibre of applicants was very good and we look forward to announcing the winner on Friday 17 May at the Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool at the end of the National Photography Symposium. The announcement will be followed by the launch of LOOK/13 International Photography Festival.

An award of £149,691 from Arts Council England’s Catalyst Arts: building fundraising capacity will boost and support the ambitious fundraising plans for a consortium of six publicly funded photography organisations based in the North of England.
Redeye is very pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Lee as its Events Co-ordinator. Adam will be familiar to many of you as the face of Redeye at its network events in Liverpool over the last three years.
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has just given its initial support, including a development grant of £62,300, to Amber Film & Photography Collective. This is the first stage of a £1.5 million project, which will open access to the group’s extraordinary film and photography collection.
