We are delighted to announce that Redeye has been successful in securing funding from Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation. Our funding is expected to remain at the current level until 2018, enabling us to continue to deliver our ambitious and innovative programme for photographers over the next four years.

This news gives Redeye the stability to look to the future, to continue to foster and support our growing national community of diverse photographers, centered around our North of England hub, and to extend our activities and reach. We will continue to work in close partnership with our networks of UK photography and arts organisations to provide greater access to resources that foster creative ambition and support the ecology of photography.

This news also gives the crucial go ahead for a new improved Lightbox, our flagship 9-month course for talented emerging photographers, which culminates in the showcasing of new work to an international audience. Details of Lightbox will be announced soon; the course starts this autumn.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Arts Council England and all of our supporters, and look forward to making new programme announcements in the coming weeks.
