Shari Hatt is a multi award winning visual artist from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Hatt’s work often blurs distinctions between high and low culture and reaches beyond the usual gallery or museum visitor to a far wider and diverse audience.

This solo exhibition showcases the first presentation of the UK Dog Portrait Series, work originally produced for exhibition at The Public Gallery in the West Midlands in 2009. The exhibition also features the provocative photographic series Clown Portraits (2006) and corresponding video I just want to be taken seriously as an artist... (2007). Also presented is Hatt’s latest video The Studio Visit (2011) and watercolour series Disappointing Paintings (2011).
