For the past 6 years, Green has been meeting and documenting the 1948 British Olympic Team.
At the same time as drawing parallels between 1948 and the 2012 Olympic Games, her aim is for these portraits and oral histories go some way to demonstrate the knowledge and experience of a valuable generation of people who are often overlooked in our society.
The photograph above is of Denise St Aubyn Hubbard (nee Newman), (b.1924), Bosom, 2012, High Diver. Denise learnt to dive growing up in Egypt, worked at Bletchly Park translating Japanese during the war, and took part in the '48 games as a High Diver. She later went on to be the only female skipper in the Royal Navy Auxilary Service for 8 years, and sailed single handed across the Atlantic at the age of 64.
