Photographer Stephen Gill's Hinterland is on view now at the Kirkleatham Museum.
The term hinterland refers to the land or district behind the coast or the shoreline of a river but can also refer to the area around a city or town.
This exhibition brings together a selection of specially commissioned photographs from three projects previously shown at Dorman Museum, Python Gallery and Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet as part of the Transporter centenary celebrations in Middlesbrough in 2011.
