The Photographers’ Wall has been developed as a space in the Library of Birmingham dedicated to photography and photographers. This is a new place to see, enjoy and promote some of the best photography made in the region.
Launched in January 2014, this first exhibition includes a range of individual works drawn from larger projects made by artists who hail from or are now based in Birmingham and the West Midlands. It also includes images from the nationally designated and internationally significant Library of Birmingham Photography Collection.
The selection of images aims to highlight the wealth of creative talent, the wide variety of photographic practices and the diverse range of projects made, or in the process of being made by emerging and established artists in the region.
