Bank Street Arts is an independent Arts Centre with registered charity status in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
We’re independent and self-funded, which means that we specialise in flexibility and openness. We work with artists, not around them, to find similarly minded creative types and develop their projects into quality exhibitions and events.
From Poet Laureates to local school kids, Turner Prize winners to first time artists, from formal conferences to casual scratch nights.
We provide a home, venue and setting for some of the best new art, writing and culture from across the region and have a national and international reputation in poetry and artists’ books.
Our charitable remit is regeneration, education, training and employment, delivered through the arts: we are concerned with the social role of the arts as well as research and development.
