This exhibition is taken from Peter Kennard’s book @earth and looks in detail – and without words - at many of the ways in which our planet and its people are threatened. It is uncomfortable viewing because it asks us to think about the local and small scale as well as the global and implicates us all by suggesting that we need to understand how these many issues can come together to dismantle our future.
Over a 45 year career Peter Kennard has been recognised as the leading political artist in Britain. His images have become synonymous with the idea of protest and reproduced as badges, postcards and placards as well as in newspapers, books and galleries. His major retrospective Unofficial War Artist showed at the Imperial War Museum 2015-2016.
