Social Works? Is a social art festival hosted in partnership between AxisWeb and Manchester Metropolitan University. The event will involve artist-run stalls, a live publication process, a programme of talks and the chance to sign up for a one-to-one with commissioners. Social Works? Will work as a platform for a network of people involved in socially engaged practice to work in the open, share ideas and connect through critical engagement.
The activities featured in the event will be organised into three different areas of learning:
- Exchange - A space for discourse and reflection.
- Profile - A space devoted to the celebration of artists and their projects.
- Resources - A space for learning and sharing best practice.
As well as:
- The Fringe - A space for all things social.
Social Works? Will be held on Friday 26 April, from 1-5pm at:
