This exhibition contains portraits and stories from some of those with tales to tell of the fishing industry in Hull during the 1970’s. From trawlermen to dockside workers; from the families and children to those who have recorded the period since. It illustrates both the camaraderie and hardships of trawler folk.
The exhibition will hang in Hull Minster to coincide with the commemoration of the sinking of the FV Gaul fifty years ago in February 1974. It will open on 1st February 2024 and be in the Minster until the end of that month. The development of the exhibition has been supported financially by North Atlantic Trawlers and Hull Maritime.
