Pro2col, the professional photographic lab formed by the merger of Colourpoint and PCL, ceased trading suddenly at the end of July.
Manchester is now left with no E6 or B&W film processing in the city centre. The nearest for 35mm and 120 is DS Colour in Didsbury, while large format users will need to go to Manchester Colour Labs in Great Moor, Stockport.

In a separate development, we are pleased to hear news of a forthcoming photographic studio and fine-art darkroom in Liverpool. The facility promises: A professional quality, fully equipped studio, complete with the latest digital lighting, controlled through infra-red, and radio controlled receivers. The lighting will also be ceiling mounted to create a cable and clutter free studio floor. A variety of backdrops, reflectors, gels, etc and a Bowens wind machine, and changing room and kitchen area. Book and magazine rack for when you take a break.
A fine-art darkroom for 35mm to 5x4 black and white film development, and black and white and colour printing. Water filtration and archival print washer to achieve exhibition print standards are included.
A computer with the latest Adobe Photoshop system for digital image manipulation.
An industry leading wide format (44') printer, capable of printing in both black and white, and colour, on a huge range of different media Inc; fine-art acid free paper and museum grade canvas.
