Join Justin Quinnell for a workshop on pinhole photography.

Justin Quinnell has been teaching and lecturing pinhole photography for 20 years and is recognised as a leading exponent of this subject. He has exhibited worldwide and written many publications, most recently ‘Build Your Own Paper Cameras’ which had its launch at the British Library in 2009.

The day will start with a presentation on Pinhole Photography including the science and contemporary approaches. Justin will then explain how to make pinhole cameras, 360 degree images, 6 month exposures, underwater images and Justin’s infamous images from inside your mouth. This will be followed by a practical session where participants will make their own cameras. Armed with your pinhole camera the rest of the day will be spent creating images which will act as a guide to your participation for World Pinhole Day on the 29th April.

World Pinhole Day takes place on the last Sunday of April every year and is designed to promote the wonder of pinhole photography to everyone. Last year 2900 people from 62 countries uploaded their pinhole photograph taken on world pinhole day creating a huge gallery of pinhole images from all around the world.
