Incamera Arts is a group based on alternative processes and techniques in photography. There are no limits and no rules; show off your creativity and enjoy the creativity of others. Whether it is film or digital come along and share experimental techniques.
This group meeting will have a guest photographer, Jonathan Stead, who has studios in Sheffield. Jonathan is interested in historic photographic processes. He also makes his own cameras and runs workshops.
Jonathan writes: ‘I work with a variety of cameras, processes and techniques including pinhole, single-element lens, large format and hand-made or adapted cameras. I often create new, or adapt existing cameras to achieve a particular image or series of images. My cameras are an artist's working tools, carefully fashioned to accomplish a specific task – no more, no less.’
