25 April 2019 to 6 May 2019

Phil Barton's The Oxford Road Murders is a postal work documenting the destruction of over 120 mature trees along the Oxford Road Corridor between April 2015 and March 2018.

The exhibition

Each postcard he produces contains photographic documentation of the murder: the location and date, along with a website link to a site highlighting the value of urban trees. The work is a part of Phil's campaign to raise awareness of the many benefits of mature deciduous trees in urban settings.

Phil's work will be exhibited at Manchester Museum, open 10am-5pm daily, and also 5pm-9pm on Thursday evenings. You will find it on the third floor of the Museum near the café from 25 April.
