“Photo North Festival, run by Sharon Price, Peter Dench and friends, is back for its third year, at Bonded Warehouse, Manchester, 7,8,9 May. Building on the success of previous years, this unique photography event is aimed at the professional photographer, art-enthusiast, keen amateur and students. The festival brings together a sensational display of exhibitions, talks, walks, workshops and portfolio reviews from highly respected and emerging artists.
A free, open-air workshop where participants will create a collaborative cyanotype and use a mix of alternative photography techniques with artist, Cath Stanley.
We are delighted to announce a garden gathering for any Redeye Members. This will take place in Stockport, Greater Manchester on Sunday 12th September, from 11am to 1pm.

In Praise Of Blandness invites the viewer to appreciate the aesthetic of the ordinary and the everyday.
Paper Geographies is an exhibition at Manchester Central Library that brings together 12 artists who use photography to explore the relationships between materiality and place. The expanded field of photography is represented by works that challenge the medium’s own specificity; including documentary and appropriated imagery, performance and sculpture, moving image, analogue processes, digital and 3D animation.
Juno Calypso is an award-winning photographic artist, working with galleries such as TJ Boulting and Foam Amsterdam, and clients including Burberry. In this talk produced in collaboration with Manchester Art Gallery she will present her work to date.
Cherish is an exhibition looking at our desire to document the familiar and intimate. Curated by Victoria Smith and Ted Holborn, final year Photography students at Manchester School of Art, the exhibition will take place over two days in the Link Gallery. It is the first in a series of curatorial experiments from Photography students at MMU.
