Added 18th MarchJack Lowe added to Swimming the Cyan Sea

We're delighted to say we have now secured an extra speaker for Redeye's keynote digital workflow day - Swimming the Cyan Sea - surviving the digital imaging revolution, in Bradford on 28th March.

Jack Lowe is one of the UK's leading providers of digital services on behalf of photographers. His company specialises not just in the traditional lab skills of top quality scanning, retouching and printing, but is also available to manage and advise on workflow for photographers, and in particular offers advice on supplying CMYK files, which is an unknown area for many photographers. He will talk about what can be done by the photographer themselves and when it is advantageous to use the services of an expert, and look at what makes the difference between a good print or file and an outstanding one.

In addition, as billed the day will begin with the presentation from top expert Bob Marchant on a practical approach to digital workflow and how to ensure your digital files conform with standards.

It will also feature contributions from Ed Horwich on taking the headaches out of captioning/metadata and file transfer, and Redeye's Director Paul Herrmann will reveal new survey information on the true picture of digital imaging in photography.

This event is ideal for anyone who is serious about using digital imaging and wants to get the best possible quality with the fewest headaches. It is highly recommended for all working photographers. Digital Asset Management is rapidly becoming the top consideration for photographers and this unique seminar will give you cutting-edge answers.

SPECIAL OFFER! If you are attending as (or with) a group of students we have secured a special deal for block student bookings made before 23rd March. Please call 0845 456 0260 or email Redeye as soon as possible.

ANOTHER SPECIAL OFFER! South Yorkshire photographers can obtain a significant discount on bookings for this and other Redeye events. Please email mark@id8photography.co.uk for further details, stating which events you would like to attend.

Although many of you have successfully purchased tickets online from the Redeye website, we’ve had a few reports of teething problems with web ticket sales. Most of these have now been sorted out, but if you find anything not working please call 0845 456 0260 or email info@redeye.org.uk
Tickets are now available for Do You Really Want to Do This - 1: Commercial and Editorial; the fault on the website has been fixed.

You’ll need to log in to buy tickets, with your normal Redeye password. If you’ve lost your password, you can now get a reminder from the “Subscribe” page, or during the ticket-buying process. This is the same password needed to post messages on the forums.

Hey, now you’ve got your password, why not comment on the changes - or anything else - on our forums?

A couple of people have reported problems with the Lowry website too; we’re told the telephone sales line is more reliable than the web, and that tickets are now definitely for sale.
