In partnership with LOOK/17 Festival, Redeye presents a daylong event on improving the commissioning process and building better relationships between commissioners and photographers.
Photography has a very complex relationship to ethics, and brings a unique set of challenges and considerations. In this event we will look at practical steps we can all take to interrogate our own working methods and ensure ethical best practice. Andrew will talk through his projects and how his own approach to ethics in photography has developed and evolved.
Join Redeye for the first in a new series of lectures that will honour the great champion of British photography Pete James, who died in March 2018. A regular lecture in partnership with The Royal Photographic Society, PARC (Photography and the Archive Research Centre), and FORMAT International Photography Festival & QUAD.

In partnership with Castlefield Gallery and Manchester Craft & Design Centre, we present a day of talks, discussions and workshops encouraging photographers, artists and makers to draw inspiration for their personal practice from other paid and commercial work.
The National Photography Symposium is the UK’s leading gathering place for ideas and discussion around photography. This year's NPS explores two main themes: new communities and making histories.
