Jon Shard, commercial, fashion and portrait photographer, joins us to give a talk about his life and work. The talk takes place at The International Anthony Burgess Foundation, Manchester.
One of the first times he has done an event such as this, Jon will give a brief history of career, an overview of his successes in commercial photography, and talk about his upcoming personal projects.
This event provides an exclusive opportunity to gain an insight into one of the North's most succesful commercial photographers.
About Jon Shard:
Jon began his career some 15 years ago shooting gigs and portraits around the city of Manchester within its then thriving music scene. This quickly led to regular commissions from several magazines including the NME and The Sunday Times.
A few years later he started working within the advertising industry, shooting campaigns for a variety of world leading brands.
Throughout his career Jon has photographed many well-known celebrities, musicians and sports stars. Several of these portraits have been acquired and displayed by the National Portrait Gallery.
Today Jon manages his time between his commercial campaigns and personal projects. He is currently creating a book of eclectic landscapes from his recent travels around the world. This will hopefully be published later on this year.
