About

Getting Off Auto is an evening workshop for anyone who would like to gain a better understanding of their camera's key features. Professional photographers David and Libby Nightingale of Chromasia will help you to get to grips with the basics of manual shooting; from ISO and shutter speeds to understanding exposure and the histogram. There are a wealth of creative possibilities waiting for you once you have learnt how the camera works.

David Nightingale

David Nightingale is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning photographer and instructor, and is the Creative Director of Chromasia Training Limited. His clients include the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, the Dubai International Financial Centre, Arts Council England, the Van Volxem winery in Germany, Sony UK, and Sony Middle East and Africa. He is also an instructor at the Gulf Photo Plus training events in Dubai. 

Libby Nightingale 

Libby Nightingale is Co-Director of Chromasia Training Limited, a photographic and post-production training company, specialising in online photography and photoshop training, one-to-one tuition and the delivery of high-quality workshops around the world. Her background is in management an psychology and she has won numerous awards including Winner of the Business Start-up category of the 2009 North West Women in Business Awards, and finalist in the Outstanding Women in Business category of the 2008 ABF Tiger Awards.

This event starts at 18:00 on 1st March 2017 until 21:00. Doors open at 17:30.

This event takes place at the Centre For Chinese Contemporary Art, Thomas Street, Northern Quarter M4 1EU. The venue is fully accessible.
