About
Urban & Architectural Photography: An introduction is a full day workshop that will guide you through the fundamentals of urban and architectural photography. Whether it's buildings, transport or people, towns and cities can be challenging yet stimulating to photograph. Professional photographer David Nightingale, with guest speaker Jan Chlebik, help you to explore the cityscape in this practical workshop, offering advice on composition and getting the best results from the equipment you have.

The workshop is aimed at anyone, particularly beginners, who would like to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of urban and architectural photography.

Chromasia Training Limited is a photographic and post-production training company, specialising in online photography and Photoshop training, one-to-one tuition, and the delivery of high-quality workshops around the world. Run by internationally acclaimed, award-winning photographer and instructor David Nightingale and his wife Libby Nightingale, Chromasia's recent clients include the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, the Dubai International Financial Centre, Arts Council England, Sony UK, and Sony Middle East and Africa. David is also a Fujifilm X-Photographer, a brand ambassador for their X-Series cameras and lenses. Chromasia believes in the intelligent application of photo enhancing techniques and brings to their students, not only the technical skills to create stunning images, but also the discerning eye and critical judgement of what is needed to improve an image.
Jan Chlebik studied Fine Art at Leeds Polytechnic in the late 1970s with a special interest in panoramic photography and then went on to become a professional photographer specialising in location work. He has over thirty years experience working for a variety of public and private sector clients. His main photographic interest is the urban landscape and environment in all its forms. Based in Manchester he is member of Rogue Artists’ Studios. He has won numerous awards as well as being a judge of the Association of Photographers Awards. Jan’s most recent notable work includes an exhibition entitled ‘Manchester & New York’, Artland Gallery, 2010, an Arts Council funded project for the Preston Guild called a ‘Preston People Panorama’, 2012, which was featured in the Independent on Saturday magazine and a self published book, 2014, with the writer Phil Griffin on his favourite subject, Manchester.
