About
Rob Hornstra is a pioneer of innovative ways of funding and publishing of his own photographic stories. We are delighted to welcome Rob back seven years after his first workshop for Redeye, one of our most popular and highest-rated events. This is an exclusive one-day DIY publishing masterclass for photographers, designers and artists who want to learn more about how to construct and present long-term photography projects. Using examples of his experience as a documentary photographer, Rob will show you how to develop strategies for the presentation, funding and publication of specific projects.

Feedback from our last workshop with Rob:

"It was a great day and an inspiration. It's good to hear a successful professional talk so openly and in depth about their practice and the array of topics covered was fairly comprehensive. As a photography student, the talk was particularly apt as it offers real insight into the possibility of a career in photography post-graduation. It was an incredibly helpful event and has made me realize, even more than ever, that perseverance, a positive attitude to the medium as a vocation and a sound business acumen are vital components to being a photographer. It's fine to be able to make a good body of work but there is a need to know what to do with it, where to take it and how to make it public. This workshop certainly opened my eyes to this."

"I really enjoyed the event. I learnt that if you want to really excel in a particular area you should concentrate on that and develop your own style. I have heard this many times before but Rob convinced me of it. This may help me a great deal in the long run."
