The RPS is calling for entries for the first Science Photographer of the Year competition. They are looking for eye-catching images that show science being done, show how photography helps science, or how science impacts our daily lives. The selected images will be exhibited at the iconic Science Museum in London.
The competition is open to everyone, regardless of age or photographic experience. Student or researcher, amateur photographer or professional, scientist or someone with curiosity about the world, anyone is eligible to enter the competition.
There are two prize categories:
Science Photographer of the Year (18+)
Young Science Photographer of the Year (aged 17 and under)
Images must be submitted online. An expert panel will select a shortlist of 100 images that will be exhibited in the Media Space Studio of London’s iconic Science Museum from October 2019 – January 2020. The two winning photographers will each also receive a “money can’t buy” experience prize with access to a science venue usually closed to the public.
The members of the selection panel will be announced shortly.
