A photography competition for 14 - 18 year olds
Brighton Photo Fringe invites photographers who are between 14 and 18 years old to submit their photographs to be exhibited at Phoenix Brighton during Brighton Photo Fringe 2016.
- A shortlist of up to 20 young photographers will be selected to show at Phoenix Brighton in October 2016 alongside professional photographers as part of the Brighton Photo Fringe festival
- One photograph by each shortlisted photographer will be professionally printed and framed for shortlisted photographers to keep at the end of the festival
- One winner will be selected from the shortlist and they will receive a £100 print voucher from Metro Imaging and a portfolio review with a professional photographer
The shortlist will be selected by a diverse panel of industry professionals including:
– Ewen Spencer (British photographer and documentary filmmaker)
– Jamie Brett (Creative Projects at Youth Club)
– Juliette Buss (Learning and Participation Coordinator, Photoworks)
– Rachel Gillies (Senior Lecturer in Photography University of Brighton)
– Clare Strand (photographic artist)
The BPF OPEN16 Young Photographers will provide the opportunity for the selected shortlist to work together on aspects of organising their own exhibition such as marketing and installing the work.
