Manchester After Hours is a celebration of the arts after hours across Manchester locations, taking place on 14 May 2015. The theme in 2015 is Odd Couplings.
We are putting together a digital presentation of photography for this event, and offer three cash prizes plus memberships for the top three submissions.
If you have, or would like to take, any photographs on the theme of Odd Couplings, please send them to submissions@redeye.org.uk with the subject Odd Couplings.
Deadline is 9:00 am on Monday 13th April 2015.
Prizes: one winner's prize of £100 and two prizes of £50. In addition each winner will receive one year's free Redeye membership worth £50. If you are already a member it will be extended by one year.
Rules and submission guidelines: All photos submitted will be considered for inclusion in the presentation. We will create a document and web page listing all images that are included, along with some text. With your submission please also include this text - head it: Public Text. We recommend this includes your name, website, image titles and dates (year), and any other text about the images. Please also include contact details including name, email address and phone number.
Submit work at least 2000 pixels in the longer dimension. Work will appear on our website no larger than 900 pixels in the longer dimension.
A maximum of 12 images can be submitted; these must be as JPEGs attached to your email. We recommend saving at fine compression (not maximum please). The maximum size of any one email is 20MB. Emails larger than this will be automatically rejected.
You will receive confirmation of receipt of your email by return. If you don't, please check your junk or spam folder, then call Redeye on 0845 456 0260. We will inform you by Friday 1st May 2015 if your work has been selected.
You will retain copyright in your work.
By submitting work you confirm:
1) You hold copyright in the submitted images.
2) You have obtained all necessary clearances, permissions and releases for the usage of the work outlined in these rules.
3) You agree that we can include your work in the presentation on our website and also on a public projection screen for Manchester After Hours whether or not you are a prizewinner.
4) If a prizewinner you agree that any of your images may also be distributed to publicise the event, and will also be used in reports about the event. Any images so used or distributed will be marked with your copyright details.
The submissions will be selected by Redeye staff. The selectors' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. We reserve the right to edit submitted text, and include or exclude any submissions.
